Tyre Services, Warrington
A key tyre services distribution facility in Warrington is the first in a four-site solar rollout designed to cut carbon, reduce energy costs, and strengthen ESG performance. Delivered by Lynx Sustainable Solutions, the 563 kWp rooftop system now generates over 474,000 kWh of clean electricity annually; supplying two-thirds of the site’s energy needs and offsetting nearly 100 tonnes of carbon each year.
Next, DVP
Leading retailer Next partnered with Lynx Sustainable Solutions for a 2.125MW solar installation at their Dearne Valley Pallet site. The system generates 1,703 MWh annually, saving £440,549 in year one with projected 25-year savings of £18.8 million.
Costa, Norwich
Lynx Sustainable Solutions installed a 21.21kWp solar PV system at Costa Coffee’s Norwich location, tackling the challenge of mounting panels on a curved KS1000RW roof as part of the Norwich Solar System project — the UK’s largest urban solar farm initiative.
Mole Business Park
At Mole Business Park C-rated 1980s buildings underwent a transformation with Lynx Energy and Carbon Assessors for the initial evaluation and Lynx Sustainable Solutions for the installation of energy-efficient solutions.
Lynx Sustainable Solutions installed two photovoltaic systems, generating significant renewable energy and reducing operational costs. This upgrade elevated the building to a Net Zero Carbon status, improving its EPC rating and making it more attractive to sustainable tenants.
The Grid
The Grid, formerly known as Avis House, underwent a complete transformation to become a Net Zero Carbon enabled building. Lynx Energy and Carbon Assessors conducted detailed energy modelling, while Lynx Sustainable Solutions installed a 41 kWp photovoltaic system. This system generates 35,468 kWh of renewable energy annually, reducing operational costs and carbon emissions. The project not only improved energy efficiency but also positioned The Grid as a sustainable, future-proof office space.
The Food Warehouse
Orchard Street Investment Management partnered with Lynx Sustainable Solutions to install a 123 kWp rooftop solar PV system at Iceland Food Warehouse in Derby, generating 105 MWh annually, cutting carbon by 22 tonnes, and saving £30,000 in energy costs each year.
Loake Shoes, Kettering
Loake Shoes partnered with Lynx Sustainable Solutions to install bespoke solar PV and battery systems at its historic Kettering factory and warehouse, cutting energy costs by £18,000 a year and reducing CO₂ emissions by over 20 tonnes annually.
EuroAPI, Haverhill
EuroAPI partnered with Lynx Sustainable Solutions to install a 2059 kWp solar PV system, supporting their goal to reduce energy consumption by 30% by 2030. Generating 2,044 MWh annually and cutting 392 tonnes of carbon, the project showcases how commercial solar PV can deliver real sustainability and cost-saving benefits.
JD Sports, Altrincham
This photovoltaic (PV) installation at JD Sports in Altrincham, showcases how retail parks are ideal for solar. With large, unobstructed roof spaces, space for solar car ports, and high energy demand, retail parks are perfect for generating renewable energy.
Northbank Industrial Park
In partnership with Footprint Zero, Lynx Sustainable Solutions delivered a cutting-edge solar photovoltaic (PV) installation for Irlam Business Park, a key site within Buccleuch Property’s commercial portfolio.
