Units 5 and 17 Mole Business Park

Mole Business Park, a 1980s building with a C-rated EPC, needed a transformation to meet modern sustainability standards and attract environmentally-conscious tenants. Patrizia, the owner, partnered with Lynx Energy and Carbon Assessors and Lynx Sustainable Solutions to make the building more energy-efficient and Net Zero Carbon enabled.

Lynx Energy and Carbon Assessors comprehensively evaluated the property, assessing EPC ratings and compliance with the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES). Their analysis identified Units 5 and 17 as ideal candidates for improvement, and Patrizia commissioned Lynx Sustainable Solutions to design and install photovoltaic systems.

We installed a 25 kWp system in Unit 5 and a 49 kWp system in Unit 17, providing substantial renewable energy output while significantly reducing operational costs and carbon emissions. Together, these systems deliver more than 69,000 kWh of clean energy annually, cutting over 13 tonnes of CO₂ and helping both units achieve EPC A ratings.

These sustainable upgrades improved the building’s EPC rating and made it a more attractive proposition for potential tenants looking for energy-efficient, sustainable spaces.

What our clients say about us
“We are incredibly pleased with the service from the Lynx Group at Mole Business Park. Before the installation, we faced the challenge of improving our energy performance rating for a late 1980s building, aiming to raise it from EPC C to an A rating. From initial carbon modelling through to installation, the solution Lynx provided met and exceeded our expectations, delivering immediate value.
Lynx Group was our preferred supplier for the carbon modelling and microgeneration elements of the building refurbishment. From the outset, the team at Lynx Group, particularly James at Lynx Energy and Carbon Assessors and Matthew at Lynx Sustainable Solutions, were proactive and responsive and made their part of the process effortless.
The benefits were immediate. Within weeks of installation, we secured a tenant attracted by the solar panels and efficiency of the building, which offers them energy at no additional cost. This rapid return on investment not only increased the property’s value but also had a positive impact on our operations and overall strategy. This project is just the beginning for us, and we look forward to expanding our sustainability initiatives with Lynx as a core supplier.
I highly recommend Lynx Group, notably Lynx Energy and Carbon Assessors, and Lynx Sustainable Solutions. Their professionalism, expertise, and ability to deliver results have been outstanding.”
