University of York Robotics Research Centre
The University of York's solar farm, developed with Lynx Sustainable Solutions and Siemens, is a world-leading project combining sustainable power generation with robotic inspection technology. In addition to generating power for the university's research centre, the Institute for Safe Autonomy is a research platform to advance the university's capabilities in renewable energy and autonomous systems. Launched in early 2024, it will produce around 183.45 MWh per year and help the research institute become carbon neutral by 2025.
